Tea can be used as medicine – this was already mentioned in Li Shizhen’s famous pharmacopeia《Compendium of Materia Medica》back in the late 16th century.
Tea used for the Tao’an therapy is coming from the WuYi Mountain, the older the tea tree the stronger the power and impact of healing, tree used from shrub or tree older than 3 years are said to be good as medicine.
For Tao'an tea, we only use tea from the tea tree that are older than 40 years and also tea need be kept for certain years to wait for the contained substance gradually change as only then they develop the special effect to benefit the body.

We have developed our own specific standard to store the tea. We actually use handmade jars where the tea can breath in the jar. After putting the tea in the jar, one layer of top class rice paper is placed above the tea before sealing the jar. Flower is an ingredient to enhance the effectiveness of the medicine. We usually select 3 to 7 difference kind of flowers and we also use the spring water from the Wuyi Mountain.

The calmness of the tea, mixed with the fragrants of the flowers, the freshness of the spring water and the sweetness of honey put into one pot of flower tea is just a wonderful taste which brings balance and health to our body.
Drinking tea based on Zun Hui’s ancient recipes will not only benefit your heath but will also enable you to do more good deeds.
